Oh my goodness how this has gotten out of control. Most review sites are simply webpages and sites that support what the dealer or manufacturer sells. Anyone can make one easily and inexpensively. These are Internet resellers and you need to stay away from them for they are steering you in the wrong direction.

How to recognize if this treadmill review site or elliptical review site is a scam. There is only one way, if there is a CLICK here to buy anything that they rate equipment wise on the website it is a fake one. STAY AWAY! It means that it is not an unbiased website and one that was created to 'bait and switch you' to believe that it was. BE AWARE!

Better Judgment

Use your better judgment. Buying on the Internet is an amazing thing of the 21st century. But, there are too many issues when it comes to fitness machines. You need to get on the machine, make the choice and think about the after sales service. Many (most) dealers will match a price you find on the web so know that and make the right decision.

A treadmill and elliptical is the size of a sofa or fridge. Have it installed by your local dealer.

Most of those supposed Internet sites are touting the features and quality of the same lines, Smooth, Sole, Nordictrack, Proform etc... Have you noticed this? So have we. Why is this so? Why aren't the quality manufacturers (we all know who they are) mentioned?

Well, because they are suppliers to the affiliate sites.  They also happen to be the machines that are on the lower end of the food chain in quality.

Obviously there are many slick looking sites that seem as if they are actual dealers. But they are not. Here's a hint: Unless you can see the full store address and a local and not an 800#, they are scamming you. The fake retail sites make it easy to buy and hard to call. Make sense?
